Day 1 on the campaign

Image
Day 1 The day started with Tom dropping us off at our campaign offices.  My day one crew   We met the staff at the office and were taught a little bit about the app. Then we were all separately dropped off with lists of our own. The app took some figuring out and I walked in a few circles. I ran into a few interesting signs and people, including a man who felt Warren was a communist and just pointed to the sign and laughed when I showed him my lit. After our first list we had some lunch near the office and then headed out for the second time. We were able to go in groups with made the experience quicker and more enjoyable.  Later, we all met up for dinner at Margaritas, but the only photo I got was of this cute table tile. We shared the highlights of the day and waited on Iowa results that never came in.

First Day in New Hampshire

First Day in New Hampshire We received our itinerary today, but it's not 100% solid and we will have to Improvise, Adapt and Overcome!                      We flew into Boston and drove into New Hampshire We went to dinner, had pizza, and daydreamed about getting some sleep (at least I did lol)  After dinner we made a Walmart run to get some snacks and other essentials. On the way we passed Friendly's and had to make a stop before getting back to the hotel for the night. Overall, it was a long but lovely day.

Training

Training     Today we had training with the Warren campaign to learn what we will be doing and how to properly do it during our time in New Hampshire. It was cool to learn that other out of state groups and individuals would be coming to work the primary. This training also made me feel more at ease because they taught us some of the things we should be saying about the campaign and told us that we did not to be experts on all of the policies.

The Office

First day at the Concord headquarters! The office is covered in placards, posters, encouraging messages, a countdown to the primary, photos taken throughout the campaign, and a LIFE SIZE Warren cutout! An important part of building support and persuading voters is knowing and sharing why you support the campaign. Some of the ones posted were because EW is "on brand" lol, to the more serious ones like her anticorruption platform, Medicare for all, her genuine concern for the people, and the desire to elect the first (and incredibly qualified) woman to become president.   The efforts carried out by all of the staff and volunteers are making the difference in building support for EW. My first photo with EW, hoping to catch a few more before election day.                      Some great photos from the campaign including other classes that have come to                                                     volunteer, pictures with EW herself, and her dog Ba
